What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body and spirit. Its primary function is to restore or maintain balance within the body.
Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old Vedic science. Another Vedic science, often called Ayurveda’s sister science, is yoga. Ayurveda and Yoga works together as a complete system of natural living and preventive healthcare with incredible results.
It is a natural healing system that offers the tools to empower anyone to experience true long term health and alignment with our true self - as nature intended. It teaches us to view our bodies as a reflection of nature and how to live in greater harmony with the cycles of the day, the seasons of the year and the cycles of life. This is done through lifestyle choices, an emphasis on healing your digestion through diet and herbs, and contemplative practices.
